Nike Basketball appears to be on the cusp of a significant comeback in the streetwear scene, largely due to the buzz surrounding its upcoming Nike GT Future. This new model, drawing inspiration from the popular Foamposite and Hyperflight lines, has already gone viral. Now, rapper Wale has been seen sporting the Nike GT Future “Orange/Chrome”.

About the Nike GT Future “Orange/Chrome”

So far, about seven colorways of the Nike GT Future have surfaced, with Wale often being the first to showcase them. The Nike GT Future “Orange/Chrome” features a molded synthetic upper with a metallic iridescent orange finish, reminiscent of the “Copper Eggplant” colorway.

This outer layer encases an inner bootie construction. The design is complemented by a black perforated mesh tongue featuring a vertical Swoosh logo above matching black laces. Additional Swoosh branding can be found on the lateral heel and medial midfoot. The shoe is finished with a perforated medial midfoot section and an icy semi-translucent rubber outsole that subtly transitions from blue to pink.

Release Details

While the Nike GT Future “Orange/Chrome” doesn’t have confirmed release details, it’s possible it could be an exclusive for Wale and other Nike Basketball affiliates. However, the GT Future is expected to officially launch in Holiday 2025 at a retail price of US$190, with two colorways anticipated.
