From September 2023 to April 2024, the Vengeful Punch card from Ruler of the Black Flame [SV3] was sometimes included in the Charizard ex deck before eventually falling out of favor. However, this Pokémon Tool card has recently made a stunning comeback with its inclusion in an increasingly popular variant of the Gholdengo ex deck.

About Vengeful Punch (Ruler of the Black Flame [SV3] 102/108)

If an opposing Pokémon picks up a KO on the Pokémon to which Vengeful Punch is attached via direct damage from an attack, the attacking Pokémon will have four damage counters placed on it. This is therefore a card which can enable the player to add that last bit of damage to pick up an important KO or to put pressure on an opposing Pokémon and leave it at possible risk of being taken out.

This card is almost entirely notable for its gameplay utility. Due to its low rarity of Uncommon (U) and its lack of a Full Art illustration, the card isn’t typically one which is pursued by collectors.
