For the first time since ACE SPEC cards were reintroduced to the Pokémon TCG in Wild Force [SV5K] and Cyber Judge [SV5M], Creatures Inc. will be introducing a new rarity to the Pokémon TCG’s rarity scale in Black Bolt [SV11B] and White Flare [SV11W]. That rarity will be Black White Rare (BWR).

BWR cards will come in either a fully black or fully white holofoil finish, hence the name of the rarity. In Black Bolt [SV11B] and White Flare [SV11W], there will be two BWR cards: a Zekrom ex in Black Bolt [SV11B] and a Reshiram ex in White Flare [SV11W].

While the BWR rarity’s exact tier on the rarity scale is yet to be confirmed, there’s nevertheless been speculation that it might even outrank the coveted Special Art Rare (SAR) cards which currently occupy the top spot.
