Nike Kobe 1 Protro “81 Points” [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Kobe Bryant's 81-point tour de force.
Kobe Bryant’s 81-point game against the Toronto Raptors on 22 January 2006 stands as a true tour de force in NBA history, one that still resonates nearly two decades later. Unlike Wilt Chamberlain’s 100-point game, which came in a faster-paced era and a blowout setting, Kobe’s performance unfolded in a competitive game where he carried a significant offensive load, scoring 66% of his team’s points on fewer shots but with remarkable efficiency.

To commemorate the milestone, Nike is set to re-release the Nike Kobe 1 Protro “81 Points” edition in Spring 2026. This marks the third time the pair, originally part of Nike’s 2007 “WHY81?” campaign, will return.
About the Nike Kobe 1 Protro “81 Points” (2026)

Retaining the familiar White, Black, and Court Purple palette, not only is it a nostalgic nod, but it is also retrofitted with modern performance features: Zoom Air cushioning, carbon fiber shank, and insoles that also honors the cities where he scored significant points during his career, including Houston, Denver, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.
