Nike Football is set to release a special edition of the Nike Mercurial Vapor 16 Elite in “Solar Red” during the summer of 2025. This launch serves as an exciting tribute to the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 95, bringing the iconic visible Air aesthetic to the football field.

A notable feature of these cleats is the inclusion of a Zoom Air unit, which is marked with the years “1995” and “2025”, effectively blending sneaker heritage with performance innovation. The cleats also boast an iridescent outsole that catches the eye, along with color-shifting overlays that evoke a vibrant, nightlife-inspired feel.

Departing from traditional grey tones often seen in football boots, Nike has opted for striking Solar Red accents on the Swooshes and other design elements. The release will also include a matching drawstring bag.

Priced at US$270, the Nike Mercurial Vapor 16 Elite “Solar Red” will be available for purchase on Nike.com and at select football retailers in the summer of 2025.
