Celebrating five years since the BAPE outpost, a shop-in-shop concept, opened within the CDG Osaka flagship.

BAPE and COMME des GARÇONS mark a significant milestone this year, celebrating five years since the BAPE outpost, a shop-in-shop concept, opened within the COMME des GARÇONS Osaka flagship.

To commemorate the occasion, the two Japanese legacy brands have unveiled a special anniversary capsule, anchored by a COMME des GARÇONS x BAPE STA.

About the COMME des GARÇONS x BAPE STA

The centerpiece of the drop is an all-white BAPE STA, the quintessence of BAPE. In line with CDG’s MO, this edition maintains an understated aesthetic, featuring a white leather construction with subtle grey “COMME des GARÇONS” lettering emblazoned on the lateral side panels.

A debossed “5” on the heel nods to the five-year partnership, while the sneaker is packaged in a commemorative shoe box and accompanied by an exclusive shoe bag.

The BAPE STA anchors the BAPE x COMME des GARÇONS 5th Anniversary Collection, which features co-branded monochromatic pieces, including graphic tees, caps, coach jackets, and socks. The only burst of color appears on a pop art-inspired tee featuring five overlapping “APE HEAD” logos, packaged in a soup can-style container—a playful homage to Andy Warhol.

Release Details

The BAPE x COMME des GARÇONS 5th Anniversary Collection will be released on Tuesday, 29 April 2025, exclusively at the COMME des GARÇONS Osaka location.

Applications for early store entry were open from Friday, 25 April at 5PM until Monday, 28 April at 12PM. Interested customers can submit their entry through the designated online application form. The pre-entry lottery is specifically for the COMME des GARÇONS Osaka store.

Winners of the online lottery will be granted early access to the store from 11AM to 12PM on 29 April. Customers who are not selected or do not apply will be able to enter the store after 12PM on the same day.

Mail order sales for the CDG OSAKA x BAPE products, released on 29 April, will begin at 11AM on Wednesday, 30 April. In-store customers will be given priority, so the availability of specific products for online orders may be limited depending on in-store sales volume.
