The it shoe of the status quo, the adidas Samba, has been at the fore of the fashion zeitgeist, its recent iterations often echoing the refined sartorial sensibilities of Wales Bonner. Yet, a new voice appears, whispering. For the Summer/Fall 2025 season, the Three Stripes presents a trio of Sambas that seemingly speaks in Caroline Hu‘s design language.

One might observe within this upcoming “Ruffle Stripes” pack a subtle nod to the dressmaker’s collaborations with adidas, albeit manifested through an in-house vision.

About the adidas Samba “Ruffle Stripes” Pack

Whereas the coveted Caroline Hu Sambas embraced a near-total immersion in textured fabric, these new iterations are a more subtle interpretation of a shared aesthetic. The classic leather canvas of the Samba is now graced with delicate white silk stripes along its flanks. Their edges softly ruffle, introducing a new texture and a gentle departure from the expected.

The palette unfolds with a nuanced femininity. Soft Wonder Mauve and Tactile Blue hues join a timeless Core Black, leaning towards the Samba’s foundational design while still bearing the mark of this delicate treatment.

Throughout the collection, class emerges through elegant gold branding, while the tongue and back tab remain in white leather. Underfoot, a semi-translucent white gum sole provides a grounded finish to this elevated take.

Purportedly arriving in women’s sizing during the summer/fall, the adidas Samba “Ruffle Pack” offers a compelling proposition with an RRP of US$120.
