The latest addition to the Wales Bonner x adidas portfolio, the Karintha Sequin, initially glimpsed during last summer’s SS25 presentation by the London-based designer, has resurfaced with a closer look at its intricate details.
About the Wales Bonner x adidas Karintha Sequin “Core Black”
The Wales Bonner x adidas Karintha Sequin “Core Black” sees its upper regaled with sequins, capturing light in a spectrum of black and brown hues.
Drawing a visual thread to the footwear of the noughties, the pair presents a streamlined make characterized by a low-profile sole unit. The dance of light and shadow across the sequined surface reveals a shifting palette of blacks, silvers, browns, and golds.
In contrast, matte brown textile accents the minimalist stripe overlays, heel tab, and tongue, providing grounded visual anchors. The outsole introduces a futuristic element with an embossed, distorted grid pattern punctuated by the hallmark Trefoil stamp.
