When Pokémon TCG expansion set Battle Partners [SV9] was released, one of the cards featuring one of N’s Pokémon which went rather overlooked by collectors was N’s Darmanitan due to its low rarity of Uncommon (U). However, as things have turned out, it’s the players who have been eyeing this card instead due to its role in the N’s Zoroark ex deck.

About N’s Darmanitan (Battle Partners [SV9] 016/100)

The standout feature of N’s Darmanitan is its Flamebody Cannon attack. The attack deals 90 damage to the opponent’s Active Pokémon as well as to one of the opposing Benched Pokémon. Usually, it won’t be N’s Darmanitan using this attack, but rather N’s Zoroark ex, another Battle Partners [SV9] card. N’s Zoroark ex does so by way of its Night Joker attack, which effectively replaces Night Joker with an attack belonging to any N’s Pokémon card on the player’s Bench. It’s an attack which is ideally used to disrupt the opponent’s setup by sniping a vulnerable low-HP Benched Pokémon.

Due to its low rarity, this card doesn’t have much in the way of collectability with the possible exception of collectors who are big fans of N and would like to collect every card related to him in any way, shape, or form.

The English version of this card is card 027/159 from Journey Together [JTG].

Due to its low rarity, an N’s Darmanitan (Battle Partners [SV9] 016/100) card doesn’t cost much. A copy sells for just 130 JPY (~US$0.92).
