PSA 1LR+ Slabs: What ONE PIECE Card Game Collectors Need to Know
Learn how to identify 1LR+ slabs and what this means for collectors.
The ONE PIECE CARD GAME, a highly sought-after collectible in the TCG world, has undergone changes to its PSA-graded slabs. While collectors are familiar with the standard slabs marked with ’21’ on the bottom left, PSA now offers a ‘1LR+’ variant that includes a protective film on the back.

PSA Card JAPAN officially answered questions regarding these updates via X, sparking discussions among collectors.

▪ Are slabs marked ‘1LR+’ authentic?
Yes, slabs marked ‘1LR+” are authentic products used by PSA.
▪ What is the purpose of the film on the back?
A protective film may be inserted to safeguard the cards during grading. PSA have observed variations in thickness among some ONE PIECE cards, and the film is used to securely encapsulate these cards within the slab.
▪ Are there any differences in the slabs used between PSA US and PSA Japan?
No, there is no difference. PSA uses the most suitable holder for each individual card, which may vary depending on the specific grading circumstances.
▪ Is it possible to request a slab exchange?
No. Since these are authentic PSA products and the optimal slab is always selected for each card, PSA do not accept requests for slab exchanges or specific slab preferences, even for reholder services.
SNKRDUNK’s Findings
In its post, PSA Card JAPAN stated that they have identified cards with varying thicknesses, noting that this measure ensures safe encapsulation in the slabs.
To verify this, SNKRDUNK conducted physical measurements of ONE PIECE single cards. Our findings revealed that some cards in this survey showed a 0.02mm thickness variation compared to previously released cards.

As mentioned in PSA Card JAPAN’s official post, graded cards with the ‘1LR+’ slabs are authentic PSA products. Therefore, these can be both bought and sold through the SNKRDUNK app, and are also eligible for trade-in at SNKRDUNK physical stores.
Regarding which specific cards receive the ‘1LR+’ slabs, PSA Card JAPAN has not yet released detailed information. Please stay tuned for further updates.
