Nike Basketball and LeBron James are set to launch a fresh take on a classic with the upcoming Nike LeBron 21 “Prime ’96”. This new sneaker creatively blends the distinctive style of Deion Sanders’ Diamond Turf series with the high-performance design synonymous with LeBron’s signature line.

About the Nike LeBron 21 “Prime ’96”

Drawing inspiration from the renowned Air DT Max 96, the shoe features a white leather base accented by striking Varsity Red overlays and black detailing. Adding a touch of luxury are small gold Swoosh logos, while the midsole is wrapped in the signature flame design reminiscent of the Diamond Turf collection. However, this modern iteration incorporates the advanced cushioning technology of the LeBron 21, including a full-length Zoom Air unit for superior comfort and responsiveness on the court.

Key design elements include a midfoot strap inspired by the DT Max, sculpted upper panels, and a unique LeBron crown emblem on the tongue, effectively bridging the legacies of “King James” and “Prime Time”.

Release Details

The Nike LeBron 21 Prime 96 “Varsity Red” is scheduled for release on 25 April 2025, through select Nike Basketball retailers, both in physical stores and online at Nike.com. It will be available in men’s sizes at a retail price of US$180.
