NIGO’s tenure as artistic director at KENZO since 2021 has ushered in a discernible shift, a current of fresh perspective within the established house. His latest endeavor sees KENZO embark on its inaugural collaboration with Converse, reimagining the brand hallmark Chuck 70—a silhouette known to hold personal significance for NIGO—into a trio of visually arresting designs.

About the KENZO x Converse Chuck Taylor “Hana Leopard” Collection

The signature “Hana Leopard” print unfolds across the silhouette in considered color palettes: “Pink Cosmos”, a delicate tandem of pink and white; “Cypress”, in the contrast of green and black; and “Sweet Corn”, a tripartite composition of black, white, and yellow.

Each iteration is further punctuated by KENZO’s emblematic boke flower, appearing as a subtle hangtag and a graphic detail adorning the outsole. Collaborative branding is integrated through the sockliner, while a special KENZO heel detail graces the left of each pair.

Release Details

The KENZO x Converse Chuck Taylor “Hana Leopard” Collection will be available on 17 April through Converse and KENZO flagship locations, as well as select retailers worldwide. The Chuck 70 Hi and Low are priced at US$150 and US$140, respectively.
