A recent post on the PokeInvesting subreddit revealed that an English Gyarados (Base Set 6/102) card from the Pokémon TCG’s first generation recently sold on eBay for the staggering price of US$11,111.
About the PSA 10 Gyarados (Base Set 6/102) Card
This Gyarados card was a first-edition card which came in holofoil. Additionally, it was a Shadowless card; this further elevated the card’s value.
First-edition Shadowless Gyarados cards from Base Set are some of the most valuable there are. They often sell for figures of well over US$5,000.
