The latest list of Yu-Gi-Oh TCG card restrictions and bans for tournament play outside Japan and Asia-Pacific has now been revealed. These new bans and restrictions came into effect on 7 April 2025; a total of 30 cards have been impacted in various ways.

Four cards have now been completely banned. These cards are Abyss Dweller, Bahamut Shark, Knightmare Gryphon, and Link Decoder. All four cards had previously not had any restrictions placed upon them outside the East; however, Abyss Dweller had already been prohibited from use in tournament decks in Japan and Asia-Pacific since January 2025.

Nine cards have been moved to the restricted category, meaning that among all of a player’s registered tournament decks, just one copy of the cards in question is allowed to be included. These cards include the following: Bystial Druiswurm, Mathmech Circular, Ryzeal Detonator, Bonfire, Brilliant Fusion, Crossout Designator, Dimension Shifter, Triple Tactics Talent, and Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King.

Three of these cards had previously been completely banned before now being allowed to be used in limited capacities. These cards are Mathmech Circular, Brilliant Fusion, and Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King. The rest hadn’t had any prior restrictions imposed upon them before this one.

A total of 12 cards are now on the semi-restricted list and are limited to two copies per player’s tournament decks. Six of the cards were moved there from the restricted list; those cards are as follows: Black Dragon Collapserpent, Morphing Jar, Snake-Eyes Ash, Snake-Eyes Poplar, Unchained Soul of Sharvara, and White Dragon Wyverbuster.

The remaining six had previously been unrestricted. These cards are the following: Ext Ryzeal, Ice Ryzeal, Maliss
Dormouse, Maliss
White Rabbit, Sword Ryzeal, and Maliss in Underground.

Finally, five card have now had all restricted removed after having been on the semi-restricted list before this update. The cards in question are Cyber Jar, Danger!? Jackalope, Danger!? Tsuchinoko, Eva, and Performapal Monkeyboard.
