ASICS is broadening its popular Sportstyle collection with the introduction of the ASICS GEL-SEKIRAN, a new sneaker that draws inspiration from running shoe designs of the 2000s and 2010s.
About the ASICS GEL-SEKIRAN
While not a radical departure in terms of construction, the ASICS GEL-SEKIRAN utilizes a familiar combination of mesh and synthetic leather, similar to the ASICS GEL-1130 and ASICS GT-2160 models. A key design element on the upper is the incorporation of flowing underlays that connect the heel, midsole, and lacing system, a feature partly influenced by the ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 13 and ASICS GEL-CUMULUS series. The midsole is visually distinctive, featuring a continuous diamond-patterned texture that houses GEL cushioning units in both the forefoot and heel.
Release Details
Having already been released in Australia in “Black/Waterfall” and “White/Lapis Lazuli Blue” color options, the ASICS GEL-SEKIRAN is expected to become available in the United States soon, with an anticipated retail price of US$130.
