New Balance 2000 ABZORB [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]
Integrates the design language of early-2000s running footwear with contemporary nuances.
[Update 7 May 2025] New Balance partnered with Brazilian creatives, including Not the Samo, to launch their new model by highlighting Brazil’s underground music scene at the “Abzorb House” event. Photos from the event revealed the previously seen blue colorway alongside four new options: all-black, white/grey, teal/silver, and a pink gradient.
Following an initial look by artist Soares 4R, this activation emphasizes New Balance’s strategy to connect street style and culture with the ABZORB 2000. Official release plans are expected in June, following this early, guerrilla-style introduction.

Succeeding the initial glimpse of the silhouette this past February, courtesy of São Paulo-based stylist Gustavo Soares showcasing the retro-futuristic model in a soft cerulean, another chromatic iteration of the New Balance 2000 ABZORB has surfaced online.
About the New Balance 2000 ABZORB
New Balance anticipates the arrival of the 2000 silhouette later this year. It presents an evolved aesthetic that integrates the design language of early-2000s running footwear with contemporary nuances.
This emergent colorway features a streamlined upper constructed from breathable mesh while complemented by synthetic overlays. The pale blue upper provides a subtle contrast to the encompassing gradient grey tones.
The deliberate application of silver accents to the eyelets, overlays, and the full-length ABZORB cushioning system imbues the shoe with a distinctly futuristic character, harmonizing with the grey inflections observed on the insole and the “N” branding.
Release Details
As with the other colorways, not much is known about this iteration of the New Balance 2000 ABZORB, save for a 2025 release window. Nevertheless, stay tuned. More information and images should arrive soon.
