Recently, the Art Rare (AR) Zamazenta card from upcoming Pokémon TCG set The Glory of Team Rocket [SV10] was revealed. Almost as soon as its image was made public, much discourse arose among the Pokémon TCG community about the possibility of certain illustrations to appear on future cards.

This was because the Full Art illustration of Zamazenta card made up half of a complete image; both halves were illustrated by Takumi Wada. The other half was an illustration which has never been released on an official Pokémon TCG card; it depicted Zamazenta’s counterpart Zacian.

The Zacian illustration was one of three which Wada created as part of a special Pokémon TCG exhibition held online in 2022. The other two Full Art illustrations depicted Gardevoir and Dragonite; like the Zacian illustration, the Gardevoir and Dragonite ones have never appeared on an official card.

For this reason, many Pokémon TCG fans have begun to speculate on whether those three illustrations—in particular the Zacian illustration as its counterpart has already been confirmed—will appear on cards which are to be released sometime in the future.
