The list of new card restrictions and bans to come into force in Yu-Gi-Oh TCG tournaments in Japan and Asia-Pacific from 1 April 2025 has just been uploaded to the official Yu-Gi-Oh TCG website. In total, 16 cards received a change to their respective playability statuses.

Two cards have now been fully banned from all tournament decks. These two cards are Summon Limit and Artifact Scythe. Both cards had previously been in the restricted category.

Five cards have been moved to the restricted category; as such, just one copy of the five cards in it are permitted to be included in a player’s registered tournament decks. The cards in question are Sword Ryzeal, Dimension Shifter, Maliss
Dormouse, Seventh Tachyon, and That Grass Looks Greener. All five cards had restrictions tightened; Sword Ryzeal and Maliss
Dormouse had previously been unrestricted while the remaining three were in the semi-restricted category.

The semi-restricted category, which includes cards of which players may only have two copies in registered tournament decks, sees two new entries. These cards are Cyber Jar and Purrely Sleepy Memory; both cards were moved there from the restricted category.

Finally, seven cards have had all restrictions removed; all seven were previously semi-restricted. These cards are Fire King High Avatar Kirin, Performapal Monkeyboard, Chronograph Sorcerer, Morphing Jar, Snatch Steal, Zoodiac Barrage, and Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King.
