[Yu-Gi-Oh TCG] Artifact Scythe (Special Pack 20th Anniversary Edition Vol.6 19SP-JP601) [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]
You'd be hard-pressed to find a Yu-Gi-Oh TCG player who WASN'T in favor of this card's ban.

One of the two cards which will be newly banned from Yu-Gi-Oh TCG tournaments in Japan and Asia-Pacific from 1 April 2025 will be Artifact Scythe. While the card had been banned from tournament play outside Japan and Asia-Pacific since February 2023, it remained unrestricted in the East until January 2025 when it was limited to one copy per deck. However, with this latest ruling, the card will now be banned worldwide.
About Artifact Scythe (Special Pack 20th Anniversary Edition Vol.6 19SP-JP601)
To most people in the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG community, this card’s ban was a long time coming. Even long before its ban internationally, many had been calling for the ban for years. This is because Artifact Scythe essentially locks the opponent out of the entire Extra Deck. In addition, it’s able to stop the opponent’s Link Summons as well, making this card effectively a stronger version of the Dimensional Barrier card from Invasion: Vengeance. This also makes Artifact Scythe especially potent in mirror matches.
Of all the versions of this card, the rarest and most expensive is the Super Rare card from Special Pack 20th Anniversary Edition Vol.6. Following the announcement of its ban, it’s certainly possible that the value of the Artifact Scythe card could soon see an increase owing to its new status.
