atmos x BAPE x adidas Superstar [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]
A tripartite collaboration in celebration of atmos's silver jubilee.
In contemporary sartorial history, the name Hidefumi Hommyo resonates with the cadence of a cultural architect. Two and a half decades ago, he seeded the fertile ground of streetwear with atmos Tokyo, a boutique that swiftly blossomed into a nexus of curated excellence and visionary collaboration. This year, as atmos marks its silver jubilee, it unveils a collaboration that sees the quintessential adidas Superstar reimagined in partnership with BAPE®︎.
About the atmos x BAPE x adidas Superstar

Beyond a repetition of form, a transmutation of aesthetic, and a dialogue between heritage and innovation, the first iteration drapes the Superstar in BAPE®︎’s signature ABC Camo, a greyscale labyrinth reminiscent of urban topography.
The stark linearity of adidas’s 3-Stripes bisects this intricate pattern, a visual caesura against the camouflage’s pervasive influence. The faux-patina of the aged shell toe and the subdued off-white sole lend a canvas upon which the upper’s graphic narrative unfolds. Yet, a glint of Gold Metallic on the lateral Superstar branding arrests the gaze, while the familiar Ape Head logo adorns the heel.

The second iteration, a nocturne in supple leather, cloaks the Superstar in an obsidian Core Black. Here, the ABC Camo pattern is rendered in subtle relief. Gold Metallic accents, like celestial fragments, illuminate the lace dubraes and co-branding, a familiar constellation in the collaborative firmament. The insoles, a trifecta of logos, bear witness to the harmonious convergence of atmos, BAPE®︎, and adidas.
Hirofumi Kojima, the oracle of atmos’s product curation, reveals a clandestine detail: the medial profile bears the BAPE STA logo. Moreover, the profile branding and Achilles’ heel panels, imbued with a phosphorescent, reptilian texture, pay homage to NIGO’s legendary 2003 Super Ape Skate collaboration, a spectral echo from the archives. This luminous, scaled finish is a vestige of streetwear’s golden age.
