About the Nike ACG Ultrafly 2

Recently, images surfaced online, courtesy of @runners_highest, featuring Nike athlete Caleb Olsen, an ultramarathon runner, testing an early version. The Nike ACG Ultrafly 2 prominently displays an enlarged Swoosh that extends onto the midsole, and its upper showcases a textured pattern reminiscent of topographic maps.

It is highly probable that the shoe will incorporate a carbon fiber Flyplate within its ZoomX foam cushioning, a feature carried over from the Ultrafly 1. Notably, the outsole bears the Vibram logo, indicating a direct partnership, a detail absent in the initial Ultrafly model, despite its collaboration with Vibram.

An intriguing aspect of this early release is the ACG branding on the tongue, suggesting a potential integration of the Nike Trail line into the Nike ACG collection, or at least a categorization shift for this particular model. Earlier prototypes of the Ultrafly 2 lacked ACG branding, instead featuring “NIKE TRAIL” text and the Nike Trail logo.

Release Details

While Nike has not officially disclosed information about the Nike ACG Ultrafly 2, the appearance of these near-final versions during athlete testing hints at an imminent official announcement.
