[Update 3 Apr 2025] This card is now the centerpiece of what’s likely the strongest deck in the metagame right now: the Blue/Purple Luffy deck.

The Manga Rare card of A Fist of Divine Speed [OP-11] features Monkey D. Luffy in the Snakeman version of his Gear 4 form, taken from his fight against Charlotte Katakuri. However, the Manga Rare wasn’t the only card of note in the set to feature the Straw Hat Pirates’ captain in his Snakeman form. There was also a Leader card which also depicts Luffy as Snakeman; it also ranks among the bigger pickups of the set.

About Monkey D. Luffy (A Fist of Divine Speed [OP-11] OP11-040)

Unlike the Manga Rare card which shows a full-body image of Luffy in his Snakeman form, this Parallel Art illustration goes with a close-up image. In fact, this card’s illustration is actually a close-up version of the one on the Manga Rare with Luffy about to launch the “Fist of Divine Speed” after which this set is named.

No other Leader cards depicting Luffy show him in any of his Gear 4 forms. As such, this card is likely to draw interest for that reason. Its canonical relevance might heighten its appeal as well because A Fist of Divine Speed [OP-11] is partially based on the Whole Cake Island Saga which culminated in Luffy making use of his Snakeman form to defeat Charlotte Katakuri.

This card will be released in English in June 2025 with the rest of A Fist of Divine Speed [OP-11]

A copy of a Monkey D. Luffy (A Fist of Divine Speed [OP-11] OP11-040) card of L-P rarity sells for 8,000 JPY (~US$53).
