The recent buzz surrounding the Nike Air Foamposite One “Galaxy” release demonstrates that Nike can reignite excitement for the distinctive Foamposite basketball shoe through strategic marketing. This renewed enthusiasm has spurred Nike to capitalize on the momentum with the upcoming Black/Volt Foamposite release in mid-March.

The resurgence has also prompted collectors to showcase rare Foamposite items, such as a 2011 “Bronze Cough Drop” sample recently unveiled by Index Portland. This unreleased sample features the translucent red outsole from the 2010 “Cough Drop” model, paired with an upper in a unique shade that blends grey and olive, creating a bronze-like appearance.

It bears a close resemblance to the 2011 “Metallic Pewter” colorway. This rare sample was briefly available for sale on Index starting 1 March, but was subsequently removed, likely due to a swift purchase.
