The Pokémon TCG metagame has recently gone through a period of major upheaval over just a short timespan following the latest rotation. This has caused certain cards which had seen almost no tournament use pre-rotation to emerge as major forces after it—especially defensive cards such as this Farigiraf ex card from Cyber Judge [SV5M].

About Farigiraf ex (Cyber Judge [SV5M] 088/071)

Farigiraf ex’s main gameplay feature is Armor Tail, its Ability. Thanks to Armor Tail, Farigiraf ex is immune to all damage from attacks by opposing Pokémon-ex. For that reason, Farigiraf ex is primarily used in defensive decks such as the Milotic ex/Farigiraf ex and Blissey ex decks. That said, it’s not as though Farigiraf ex doesn’t have anything on the offensive front; its Dirty Beam attack dishes out 160 damage for three Energy cards while also striking an opposing Benched Pokémon for 30 damage.

The version of this card which will most appeal to collectors comes in the rarity of Super Rare (SR). The card’s Full Art illustration highlights the fact that Farigiraf ex has Terastallized into the Dark type; the Dark-type Tera Jewels can clearly be seen over Farigiraf ex’s head. Farigiraf ex’s body has also taken on the crystalline characteristics associated with Terastallization. That same aesthetic can be seen on the card’s background.

The English version of this card is card 194/162 from Temporal Forces [TEF].
