The standout card of seventh-generation English Pokémon TCG set Unbroken Bonds was a TAG TEAM card featuring two fan-favorite Pokémon. The Gardevoir & Sylveon GX card depicted the Fairy-type duo on a card which to this day remains a coveted pickup for many collectors.

About Gardevoir & Sylveon GX (Unbroken Bonds 205/214)

There’s no question that what catches the eye immediately when it comes to this card is its Full Art illustration. The imagery shows Gardevoir and Sylveon just hanging out in a field; Sylveon can also be seen using one of its ribbons to place a flower in Gardevoir’s hair. The illustration itself might also be a reference to the set name of “Unbroken Bonds” as that’s what the artwork seems to depict as existing between Gardevoir and Sylveon.

Adding to the card’s aesthetic appeal is the gentle-looking art style which is a perfect fit for the scene being shown; the holofoil that covers the card almost looks like a layer of mist which further feeds into the card’s entire Fairy-type aesthetic. On that note, this card was printed when Fairy-type Pokémon had their own Energy symbol; as such, this card has retroactively acquired a novelty factor. Finally, Gardevoir and Sylveon are both highly popular with the Pokémon fanbase in general.
