Hot on the heels of their October 2024 drop, Dohee Kim and New Balance are gearing up to join forces once again for another 509 release—and this time, it’s personal. The drop will officially fall under the umbrella of Dohee Kim’s XLIM brand, marking a bold new chapter in the designer’s ongoing partnership with the sportswear giant.

About the XLIM x New Balance 509

A standout from New Balance’s 2000s running archive, the 509 gets a futuristic overhaul, infused with XLIM’s signature design ethos.

Think daring contrasts: hairy suede textures meet sleek mesh panels and polished synthetic leather, creating a silhouette that’s equal parts rugged and refined. The shoe’s distinctive mesh side panels not only elevate its aesthetic but also ensure breathability, while the ergonomic build promises all-day comfort.

Release Details

Offered in bold, head-turning colorways—Black and Red—the XLIM x New Balance 509 pack is set to launch on 21 February 2025, 11AM (KST) via XLIM.link. A pre-launch event will also be held on 15 February in South Korea, exclusively for invited guests. Don’t miss out!
