From adidas’ deep archives emerges a Kobe Bryant shoe celebrated and scrutinized: the adidas Crazy 2. Originally conceived as his final signature model with the Three Stripes, this polarizing silhouette of early 2000s design, then known as the Kobe Two, returns in 2025, reborn and rechristened.
The name change, a consequence of Bryant’s departure from Nike, only adds to the mystique of this divisive yet undeniably influential pair.
About the adidas Crazy 2 “Silver Metallic”
The Crazy 2 stands as a testament to the era’s retrofuturistic design ethos. The sleek contours of the Audi TT Roadster inspired its form. While its avant-garde aesthetic elicited a spectrum of reactions, even drawing critique from Bryant himself, the Crazy 2 did find its place in the Noughties footwear zeitgeist.
For its 2025 redux, the pair appears in a “Silver Metallic” livery. The synthetic upper, polished to a mirror-like sheen, exudes a futuristic elegance, punctuated by subtle black accents at the collar and inner lining. The shoe retains its signature, substantial midsole, and distinctive grooves.

The adidas Crazy 2 “Silver Metallic” will hit select adidas Basketball retailers and adidas.com this April 2025, priced at US$160.
