[Yu-Gi-Oh TCG] Yu-Gi-Oh TCG World Championship 2025 to Be Held in Paris on 30-31 August
Worlds heads to France for the very first time.
By way of a video trailer on their official YouTube channel, Konami revealed that the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG World Championship 2025 will take place in Paris on 30-31 August. It will be the first time that Worlds will ever have been held in France.
In addition to the main Yu-Gi-Oh TCG tournament, undercard events—Rush Duel, Speed Duel, and Master Duel tournaments—will also be held. The venue of this year’s Worlds hasn’t yet been confirmed.
The location was likely selected to capitalize on the crowds who’d already be heading to France for the 2025 Fortnite Championship Series Global Championship from 6-7 September and the 2025 Rocket League Championship Series World Championship from 9-14 September; both tournaments will be held in Lyon. Both of those video games’ respective fandoms have notable degrees of overlap with that of the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG.
