[Pokémon TCG] Charizard ex Special Collection [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]
To be highlighted by a jumbo lenticular Charizard ex card, it will be the second product of its sort to spotlight Charizard ex.
The next Pokémon TCG Special Collection will be released on 11 April 2025. The Charizard ex Special Collection will spotlight one of the most iconic cards of the ninth generation of the TCG—but in a way that’s never been seen before.
About the Charizard ex Special Collection
The highlight of the Charizard ex Special Collection is unquestionably the jumbo lenticular Charizard ex card. When the card is moved back and forth, its illustration switches between that of an English alternate-art version of the card originally from the Japanese Charizard ex Battle Master Deck [SVJL] and that of the original English version from Obsidian Flames [OBF].
The two images are intended to function similarly to a time-lapse. The image from the Charizard ex Battle Master Deck [SVJL] depicts Charizard ex preparing to attack; the image from Obsidian Flames [OBF] shows the Charizard ex which has Terastallized into the Dark type actually attacking.
A normal-sized version of the alternate-art Charizard ex card will also be included in the Charizard ex Special Collection as a promotional card. Rounding things off are Charmander and Charmeleon cosmos holofoil cards, a code card for for Pokémon TCG Live, and five booster packs.
The Charizard ex Special Collection can be seen as a follow-up to the Charizard ex Super-Premium Collection which was released in October 2024.
