[Pokémon TCG] Creatures Inc. Issues Statement Confirming Upcoming Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] / Battle Partners [SV9] Reprints
The reprints will be progressively rolled out across Japan from 13 February to April 2025.
Creatures Inc. recently released an official statement confirming that upcoming reprints of Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] and Battle Partners [SV9] are in the works. The reprints will be progressively rolled out across Japan from 13 February to April 2025; the date on which Pokémon TCG products containing the first batches of these reprinted cards will arrive in stores is yet to be confirmed.
This will be the second reprint of Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] following the one that arrived on 1 January; in the case of Battle Partners [SV9], it will be the set’s first reprint.
In the statement, Creatures Inc. also affirmed their commitment to enhancing the quality of their production lines even in the absence of any public announcements on the matter.
Now, here are some FAQs regarding these reprints:
FAQs About the Terastal Festival [SV8a] and Battle Partners [SV9] Reprints
How can I be sure to be there for the reprints?
Check back on this page regularly; we’ll keep you updated. In addition, you can pick up further information on when the reprints arrive from websites such as PokéBeach and PokéGuardian as well as the PokemonTCG subreddit.
Where can I pre-order Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] and Battle Partners [SV9] products?
As of the latest updates, the reprinted products are expected to arrive for pre-order on the official Pokémon Center website in late February 2025; however, other retailers in Japan are expected to begin selling reprinted Terastal Festival [SV8a] (but not Battle Partners [SV9]) items starting from 13 February 2025. Stay tuned for further updates here.
In the meantime, you can still head to the SNKRDUNK App to order Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] and Battle Partners [SV9] products at great prices.
What is the expected retail price of reprinted products?
All reprinted products will cost the same as those before the reprints when sold the official Pokémon Center website. Please proceed to this link to view product prices.
Alternatively, those of you who live in Japan may opt to check with an in-person retailer beforehand. These retailers usually sell the items at prices which differ from those of the Pokémon Center.
Are there any differences between the already released items and the reprinted ones?
With Terastal Festival ex [SV8a], the answer is “no”.
However, with Battle Partners [SV9], several previously released products which included the Ultra Rare (UR) version of the N’s Zoroark ex card included a misprinted version of that card. In the reprint, the misprint is likely to be corrected.
Ironically, this flaw has majorly jacked up the price of the misprinted N’s Zoroark ex card—not only because it’s gimmicky, but also because there will only be a limited quantity of such misprinted cards which will ever exist.
Are the sets available to purchase now at retail price?
Neither set will be available at retail price on the official Pokémon Center website until the reprints are officially released.
