Each year’s annual Premium Pack brings with it a combination of new Yu-Gi-Oh TCG cards and reprints of existing ones; all these cards come in Secret Rare. In Premium Pack 2023, one of the newly-introduced cards which today has retained a reasonable amount of demand was Duality.

About Duality (Premium Pack 2023 23PP-JP005)

Duality was a card which was first shown in the Yu-Gi-Oh GX manga; however, its manga counterpart was less effective than the real-life card. In the manga, Duality could only be used to Special Summon from the player’s hand; however, in real life, it can be used to Special Summon from either the player’s hand or Extra Deck.

This card is closely linked to Dark End Dragon and Light End Dragon. The illustration contains outlines of the wings of Dark End Dragon and Light End Dragon while both halves of the background resemble those of the Dark End Dragon and Light End Dragon cards. In addition, in the Yu-Gi-Oh GX manga, Chazz Princeton used Duality to Special Summon Light End Dragon from his hand by Tributing Dark End Dragon.

Duality will likely see a spike in gameplay use when Alliance Insight is released. This is because Alliance Insight will bring the Philia Regis card with it. Duality will probably be used to Special Summon Philia Regis by Tributing Lady’s Dragonmaid.

The price of a Secret Rare Duality (Premium Pack 2023 23PP-JP005) card is 2,030 JPY (~US$13).
