Rika, a Ground-type specialist from the Paldea region who’s one of the region’s Elite Four members, has thus far appeared on just one Pokémon TCG card. That said, this Supporter card from Raging Surf [SV3a] is one of its set’s standout pulls.

About Rika (Raging Surf [SV3a] 088/062)

In the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet video games, Rika is not only the first member of the Elite Four which the player faces off against; prior to the battle, she conducts what’s known as the “Champion Assessment” to verify that the player is suited to take on the Elite Four. For this reason, Rika has a closer connection with the player character of a Pokémon video game than do most other Elite Four members; this likely serves to elevate this card’s value.

Of course, it has to be mentioned that this card is a Special Art Rare (SAR) which has a Full Art illustration of a female character. These are all factors which drive up demand for the card. In addition, Rika is the only member of the Elite Four who makes an appearance in the Let’s Play the Pokémon Card Game! Scarlet & Violet Arc manga series—the only Pokémon manga series specifically based on the Pokémon TCG; this adds to the character’s overall popularity.
