Lorenzo G. Federici, the internet’s reigning dye master (@LORENZ.OG), has transformed the New Balance 860v2 into a canvas of chromatic delight. Federici, a St. Albans native, has garnered a cult following for his hand-dyed chef-d’œuvre, breathing new life into classics like the COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Air Max 95 and the Off-White x Air Jordan 5.

His skills, coupled with co-signs from the likes of the late DJ Clark Kent, have propelled him from the digital realm into official brand collaborations.

About the Lorenz.OG x New Balance 860v2 “Dusk”

The latest fruit of this union sees the New Balance 860v2 adorned with a fascinating “Dusk” gradient, a hallmark of Lorenz.OG’s studio, STUDI.OG. A nostalgic nod to the Y2K era, the upper shimmers in a base of “Silver”, but this merely serves as a backdrop for the kaleidoscopic explosion of color that truly steals the show, where rich hues of yellow, orange, pink, and purple dance across the mesh base layers.

Interestingly, the inspiration for this gradient masterpiece wasn’t some far-flung exotic locale, but a scene far closer to home: the ever-changing London sky.

Release Details

The Lorenz.OG x New Balance 860v2 “Dusk” will be available for purchase through a unique scavenger hunt. Golden tickets, hidden by Lorenz.OG throughout London’s Soho district, will grant the finder the opportunity to buy a pair. Clues to the tickets’ locations will be posted on the customizer’s Instagram on the release date, 18 January 2025. The sneakers are priced at £249.99 (~US$305).

Unfortunately, there will not be a wider launch via New Balance. If you live outside of London and want to get your hands on a pair, you’ll have to look for one on the resale market.
