One of the most coveted cards of Age of Overlord, a Yu-Gi-Oh TCG Series 12 Core Booster, was S:P Little Knight in its Quarter Century Secret Rare version. It’s a card which has much appeal for collectors and players alike.

About S:P Little Knight (Age of Overlord AGOV-JP046)

The most obvious factor behind the card’s appeal is its rarity; it was one of the (fittingly enough) 25 cards in Age of Overlord which had a Quarter Century Secret Rare version—the rarity created to honor the 25th anniversary of the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG. The card also features a female character, as such, its appeal for many was thus elevated.

The card also has close ties to characters featured on other cards; S:P Little Knight herself is a Link Monster retrain of S-Force Rappa Chiyomaru. The name “Little Knight” is a reference to Chiyomaru as well because it’s a homophone of “little night”—the direct translation of the first half of Chiyomaru’s name in Japanese. Additionally, “S:P” is a dual reference to I:P Masquerena as well as S-Force, a card archetype related to this card.

As far as gameplay is concerned, this card was one of the most dominant forces in the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG metagame soon after Age of Overlord was released in July 2023 due to the board disruption and counterplay it provided to several different decks—none of which required the player to commit heavy resource investment towards. As such, this card has been limited to one copy per deck in Yu-Gi-Oh TCG tournaments in Japan and Asia-Pacific since July 2024.
