The Air Max Plus, a sneaker with roots in industry veteran Sean McDowell’s Florida trip, remains a popular choice till today. Following recent reissues of classic colorways, Nike is revisiting another iconic look: the Nike Air Max Plus “Eclair” (Lightning) in May 2025.

About the Nike Air Max Plus “Eclair” (Lightning) 2025

Originally launched in 2000, the Nike Air Max Plus “Eclair” draws clear parallels with the Nike Air Presto’s “Lightning” edition, also from that year. Initially a women’s exclusive, this 25th-anniversary revival will be available in men’s sizes.

The Nike Air Max Plus “Eclair” features a striking lightning graphic across its mesh upper, depicting bright blue and white bolts against a dark navy backdrop. Translucent overlays, reminiscent of Florida palm trees, provide structure, while a navy and white Swoosh adorns the side.

Navy accents continue on the inner lining and laces, with additional lightning details on the tongue. The signature Tuned Air logo is present on the heel. A white midsole houses red Tuned Air units at the heel and forefoot, completing the design along with a navy and red outsole.

Release Details

The Nike Air Max Plus “Eclair” (Lightning) is set for a May 2025 release through Nike and select retailers, both online and in physical stores. Offered in men’s sizing, it will retail for US$190.
