The HOKA Ora Primo, a design beamed straight from the future (or at least HOKA’s design lab), inherits the almost-magical foot-healing properties of their Ora recovery sandals, the kind of sandals that make your feet sigh with relief after a brutal run. This time, however, they’ve decided to wrap that soothing sensation in something a little more socially acceptable than post-workout slides.

A padded nylon upper, so plush it’s practically begging for a foot hug, is stitched together like a cozy little sleeping bag for your feet. Perhaps mainly for aesthetic reasons, they’ve added ropes on the instep that resemble shoelaces—because who needs actual laces when you’re prioritizing peak relaxation? It’s like they took the best parts of a slipper, a sneaker, and a cloud and blended them into one glorious foot-cocoon.

This cloud-like upper is then paired with a lightweight, cushioned outsole. So, if your feet are tired of being punished by the unforgiving pavement, the HOKA Ora Primo is arriving just in time to offer them a well-deserved vacation.

Release Details

For now, the HOKA Ora Primo “Black/Stardust” and “Stardust/Satellite Grey” are scheduled to arrive at BILLY’S ENT on 15 January with a price tag of 18,700 JPY (~US$118). Stay tuned; surely, a wider release is in the pipeline.
