Pokémon TCG Bouffalant Master Ball Mirror

Although the Terapagos ex/Dusknoir deck isn’t a deck which was specifically created to be a deck built around Normal-type Pokémon, such did end up being the case. This is the main reason why this Bouffalant card has been added to the deck as part of a recent variant.

About Bouffalant Master Ball Mirror (Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] 133/187)

Bouffalant’s Ability is Curly Wall; it reduces damage inflicted upon the player’s Basic Normal-type Pokémon from opposing Pokémon’s attacks by 60. This grants much-needed survivability to some of the deck’s key pieces such as Terapagos ex from Stellar Miracle [SV7] and Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex from Crimson Haze [SV5a]; it also provides crucial protection to Hoothoot from Wild Force [SV5K] and Pidgey from Ruler of the Black Flame [SV3] by making them much less likely to be picked off before they evolve.

Like every other card from Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] which depicts a Pokémon, this Bouffalant card first printed as part of Stellar Miracle [SV7] has a Master Ball Mirror version featuring a Master Ball print on a “cracked ice” holofoil background on the lower half of the card. Since Master Ball Mirror iterations of Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] cards are significantly rarer than their ordinary versions, it’s therefore to be expected that this card’s Master Ball Mirror version is much more coveted and valuable than the ordinary Bouffalant card.

Release Details

Master Ball Mirror cards have already been confirmed for inclusion in Prismatic Evolutions [PRE]; however, there isn’t yet any information as to whether one of those Master Ball Mirror cards will be Bouffalant.

A Bouffalant Master Ball Mirror (Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] 133/187) card has a price which is surprisingly low; a copy sells for just 1,300 JPY (~US$8.20).

As of 7 January 2025, this card is selling at below retail price on SNKRDUNK.
