Preceded by a Swarovski collaboration, the Ja Moran’t second signature sneaker embarks on a saccharine detour with its second joint effort: a partnership with the iconic beverage purveyor, Kool-Aid.

About the Kool-Aid x Nike Ja 2

The Kool-Aid x Nike Ja 2 presents a chromatic contrast, employing a mismatched gradient design inspired by two of the brand’s most emblematic flavors.

The left pair is an ode to the Blue Raspberry Kool-Aid. Its hues transition in a fluid cascade from cerulean dawn at the toe to midnight black, enveloping the collar and heel.

Its counterpart, the right shoe, mirrors this gradient progression, albeit in a warmer register: a Cherry Red at the forefoot gradually yielding to a sunset orange toward the heel, a direct allusion to the classic Cherry flavor.

The design narrative is interwoven with details that pay homage to Kool-Aid’s iconography. The tongue sees the Kool-Aid Man himself, rendered in his signature pose of exuberant, wall-breaching entry. His exclamation, “Ohhh Yeah!”, is inscribed on the tongue’s reverse. The very cracks of the breached wall are etched into the lateral midfoot.

The pair’s lateral and medial profiles are adorned with an interplay of splatter paint details and a textured knit, juxtaposed against black Swooshes.

The quilted heel counter, a textural counterpoint to the shoe’s other elements, is embellished with condensation-like droplets alongside Ja Morant’s “12 AM” insignia, rendered in Kool-Aid’s own typography. A white foam midsole, also punctuated with splatter detailing, and a glow-in-the-dark outsole provide a final flourish.
