Brooklyn Projects x New Balance Numeric 480 “Gray/White” [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]
Taking design cues from the visual language of '80s thrash and heavy metal.
New Balance Numeric is once again breaking the mold with a new collaborative effort, this time joining forces with Brooklyn Projects to reinvent the Numeric 480 high-top. Building on the success of their previous 480 Low collaboration with Premier, this release further demonstrates New Balance’s dedication to merging high-performance functionality with distinctive style.
About the Brooklyn Projects x New Balance Numeric 480 “Gray/White”
The design takes cues from the powerful visual language of ’80s thrash and heavy metal. A combination of black denim and leather provides both a visually impactful aesthetic and long-lasting wear. The denim is used for the toe box and collar, while high-quality leather overlays reinforce the shoe’s construction. Crisp white stitching, laces, and branding offer a strong contrast, enhancing the shoe’s visual impact.
Meticulous detailing sets this collaboration apart. Brooklyn Projects’ branding is prominently displayed on both the tongue and heel, adding a distinct signature. A cream-colored midsole, paired with a semi-translucent gum outsole, imbues vintage vibes. The outsole is also designed to provide superior grip, making the shoe highly functional for skateboarding.
