The celebrations have officially begun with the unveiling of a special commemorative logo, brought to life by the visionary mechanical designer behind the iconic Evas, Ikuto Yamashita.

Collaborations

A series of exciting collaborations with a surprising lineup of partners has also been announced. Let’s dive into the details.

▪ McDonald’s

One of the most unexpected collaborations sees EVANGELION teaming up with McDonald’s. The result? A Value Figurine Set that reimagines classic menu items—the Big Mac, McFry Potato, and McShake—as, you guessed it, EVANGELION-inspired units.

And if that wasn’t enough, they’ve even cooked up a special TV commercial featuring a reunion of beloved characters.

▪ GU

Moving from fast food to fashion, another key collaboration sees EVANGELION partnering with GU. This collection blends the futuristic world of the series with elements of streetwear, with a key visual showcasing Shinji, Kaworu, Asuka, and Rei sporting the stylish new fits.

▪Knives Out

Gamers, rejoice! EVANGELION is also crossing over with the popular game “Knives Out”. Look forward to a legendary coupe that switches between Rei and Asuka designs, along with M4A1, Dual TMP, and outfits. Participate in the event for up to 20 draws and a chance to get the rare ‘Unit-02 Ranpa’!

▪ EVANGELION ANIMA: Ikuto Yamashita Art Book

In a landmark moment for fans of the series’ mecha designs, the first-ever art book by Ikuto Yamashita, the mechanical designer for NEON GENESIS EVANGELION and creator of EVANGELION ANIMA, is set for release on 19 February 2025.

▪Mahiro Maeda Thats Art Book

Continuing the celebration of artistic brilliance within the EVANGELION universe, the first-ever art collection reflecting on the life and work of anime legend and visionary Mahiro Maeda will be released on 28 February 2025.

Events

To cap off this incredible year of celebration, the franchise will host “EVANGELION:30+”, a grand event at the Yokohama Arena in Japan from 21—23 February 2026.
