Dex Robinson has created a special edition of the Nike Air Force 1, paying tribute to his alma mater, Virginia Union University (VUU). The design draws inspiration from the university’s history and its Panther mascot, creating a shoe that embodies VUU’s culture and values while telling a personal story.

About the Virginia Union University x Nike Air Force 1 Low

The sneaker’s premium, textured leather upper gives it a strong yet sophisticated look, mirroring the spirit of VUU. The university’s signature colors are incorporated through steel-edged Swooshes and vibrant red laces, creating a visually striking contrast.

Several personalized touches make this a unique piece. The heel tabs feature the phrases “Dear Union” and “With Love, Dex Rob”, evoking the idea of a personal letter to VUU. The insoles display a printed letter from Robinson against the backdrop of VUU’s iconic campus sign, highlighting the themes of unity and lasting legacy.
