New Era is no stranger to exciting collaborations, and they’re upping the ante once again with a fresh partnership sure to excite gamers and streetwear aficionados alike. This time, the iconic headwear brand has teamed up with none other than SEGA for a special release featuring everyone’s favorite blue blur: Sonic the Hedgehog.

About the Sonic the Hedgehog x New Era Collection

This exciting collaboration isn’t just a logo slap; it’s a full-fledged collection of 12 headwear and apparel pieces showcasing both Sonic and his edgy counterpart, Shadow the Hedgehog. The iconic New Era silhouettes are given a Sonic spin, with caps based on the classic 59FIFTY and adjustable 9THIRTY styles. Expect embroidered character names and striking imagery of Sonic and Shadow, all rendered in their signature color palettes.

For the cooler months, the collection offers equally stylish knit caps, including a cuffed option with a clean blue base and white jacquard logo, and a bolder beanie featuring character face illustrations and the New Era logo front and center. Beyond headwear, oversized t-shirts with vintage-inspired inkjet prints round out the adult offerings.

And the little ones aren’t left out: the kids’ collection features adorable designs, including a cap emblazoned with Sonic’s face and a beanie with playful, ear-like square edges.

Release Details

Priced between 3,080 JPY (~US$20) to 6,600 JPY (~US$42), the Sonic the Hedgehog x New Era collection is slated to launch on 2 January 2025 via New Era. Don’t miss out!
