In September, Boston-based Bodega commemorated a decade of collaborations with ASICS through the GEL-KAYANO 20 “Small Wins Add Up”. Now, Bodega’s dedicated Instagram platform, “Bodega Made”, which chronicles both in-house creations and collaborative releases, has teased the next chapter in the Bodega x ASICS saga: the GEL-KAYANO 20 “Friends & Family”.

About the Bodega x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 20 “Friends & Family”

This pair retains the original’s material make and nuanced branding details, complemented by a more grounded earth-tone palette. The woven mesh base, a hallmark of the silhouette, is reimagined in a deep brown hue, while the overlays across the upper adopt similarly darkened finishes.

Bodega’s branding adorns the lateral collar, presiding over the “GEL-KAYANO 20” imprint–in contrast to the proximate earth tones and cerulean blue finish. Further chromatic accents, punctuating the design, appears along the laces and sockliner, retaining the volt green palette. Underfoot, the midsole undergoes a darker transformation, featuring jade-green GEL inserts.

Release Details

The Bodega x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 20 “Friends & Family” will be available exclusively through Bodega’s brick-and-click stores on 27 December. Offered in men’s sizing, the RRP is set at US$180.
