With the sequel to the Nintendo Switch and Switch OLED—dubbed the Nintendo Switch 2—purportedly set for an April 2025 launch, speculation and rumors about the console’s features are reaching a fever pitch.

While enthusiasts continue to theorize about what the next iteration will bring, dbrand has stepped into the mix with what they claim are more concrete details.

The company boldly asserts that they have “actual dimensions” of the Switch 2, using this information to design their “Killswitch 2” case, further fueling the ongoing chatter surrounding Nintendo’s highly anticipated release.

About the Nintendo Switch 2

The overall dimensions of the Switch 2 are reported to be 270 x 116 x 14 mm, with an upgraded 8-inch screen—a step up from the current 6.2-inch (standard) and 7-inch (OLED) displays. However, to keep costs in check, the console may utilize an LCD screen instead of OLED.

Under the hood, the Switch 2 is said to pack an eight-core Cortex-A78AE processor, 10 streaming multiprocessors (SMs), 8GB of RAM, and a significant upgrade to 512GB of storage—a much-needed jump from the current 64GB capacity to accommodate today’s increasingly large game sizes.

The Joy-Cons are also said to be larger and rounder for improved comfort during extended gameplay sessions. They will reportedly feature redesigned SL and SR buttons, additional auxiliary buttons, and a magnetic connection mechanism to replace the current rail system.
