This time, however, he segues from invention into reinvention, creating his iteration of a Three Stripes classic, taking on the Jabbar High.

About the Jerry Lorenzo x adidas Jabbar High

Jerry Lorenzo’s take on the ’80s basketball staple features a white and green colorway reminiscent of one of the Stan Smith’s most popular palettes.

Yet, Lorenzo infuses the Jabbar High with subtle sophistication. Faux-vintage accents, a cream-toned midsole, and laces with a hint of patina add a touch of nostalgia, subtly referencing adidas’ rich basketball heritage without succumbing to mere retroism. The final flourish arrives in the form of the vectorized portrait of the designer himself.

Rumors suggest this collaboration will join adidas’ prestigious “Made in Italy” collection.
