Basketball legend Michael Jordan’s long-time Highland Park, Illinois estate has finally found a new owner after 12 years on the market. The sprawling mansion, once listed for a staggering US$29 million, sold for a significantly reduced price of US$9.5 million.

Built in 1995 during the peak of Jordan’s NBA career, the estate is a testament to his iconic status. It boasts a full-sized basketball court, a cigar room, and a distinctive “23” sign at the entrance. While Jordan still owns residences in Florida, North Carolina, and Utah, the Highland Park home remains his most recognizable domicile.

Despite its legendary status, the estate faced challenges in finding a buyer over the years. Multiple price reductions eventually led to its sale at a fraction of the original asking price.
