[Update 16 Dec 2024] More images and details of the fragment design x Nike Book 1 have come to light since Hiroshi Fujiwara teased the pair on Instagram.

By way of another post, the FRGMT head honcho explained how the collaboration came to be and ascertained the release status of the pair. As translated, “I had a chance to meet Devin Booker in NY earlier this year. We rushed to make this pair so Devin could wear them in a game. When I first got gifted these shoes, I was impressed; they did not look like 2024 basketball shoes. It looks low-tech but very technical, and, amazingly, Booker is actually wearing these in basketball games. These are indeed comfortable.

“When you search for Book, many colorways have been released, and you can do a lot with this classic design. This round was a quick promo for friends and family, but one day, I would love to work on a Booker shoe that everyone can get.”

Thus, it’s been confirmed by the man himself that the pair is an F&F exclusive. But there is a possibility of another collaboration in the works down the road. Till then, check out more images of the pair in the gallery above!

LINE

fragment design (FRGMT) head honcho Hiroshi Fujiwara has been known to be an elusive and enigmatic figure. And occasionally, he would hint at a collaboration on Instagram to pique curiosities and leave without any follow-up for a period. Such is the case of the fragment design x Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “White/Blue” which he initially teased in 2022, with no word until now leading up to its official release in 2025.

About the fragment design x Nike Book 1

He may be doing it again with the Nike Book 1, posting an iteration of the “Python” colorway featuring FRGMT’s hallmarks, like the blue Swoosh on the profile, the FRGMT code on the midsole, and the logo on the heel tab.

Release Details

Only the power that be, the Godfather of Streetwear himself, knows the pair’s status. Will it be an officially sanctioned collaboration or just a 1-of-1 custom?

Devin Booker and Fujiwara linked up a few months ago when the Phoenix Suns All-Star gifted a pair of the Nike Book 1 “Python”. Aside from being photographed in it once, Fujiwara has not been seen in it until now—fully regaled with FRGMT signature motifs.

Nevertheless, stay tuned! Should any news emerge about the pair, expect to find it here at this very page!
