When it comes to Eevee and its eight evolutions, though all are generally major fan favorites among the Pokémon fanbase, there’s no question that out of all of them, Dark-type Eeveelution Umbreon stands alone atop the chart. It was, therefore, virtually inevitable that when Terastal Festival ex [SV8a], a Pokémon TCG set centered on these Pokémon, was launched, an Umbreon card—specifically, its Master Ball Mirror version—would end up being the biggest pull of the lot.

About Umbreon Master Ball Mirror (Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] 092/187)

Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] brought Master Ball Mirror cards back to the Pokémon TCG. Master Ball Mirror cards are those which feature a textured Master Ball print in the background. These cards also have a “cracked ice” layer which further brings out the card’s visual impact; neither element was present on this card’s original version from Ruler of the Black Flame [SV3].

Being the most popular of all eight Eeveelutions, there’ll certainly be massive demand for this card—as is the case with almost all Umbreon cards beyond a certain rarity level. Adding to that, although it’s been more than three years since the launch of the legendary Umbreon VMAX card from Eevee Heroes [S6a]—better known in the community as “Moonbreon”—such was that card’s legacy that every Umbreon card for the foreseeable future will see its value rise because of it.

Release Details

It isn’t yet known if Master Ball Mirror cards will be printed in English.

An Umbreon Master Ball Mirror (Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] 092/187) card sells for 42,000 JPY (~US$280).
