As the eighth generation of the Pokémon TCG drew to a close, Creatures Inc. launched the Precious Collector Box: Sword & Shield in November 2022 as a way to commemorate a memorable era. Its standout feature was an etched Full Art promotional card featuring Pikachu—a reprint of a card first released as part of Pokémon GO [S10b].

About Pikachu (S-P Promotional Cards 323/S-P)

The main factor behind the high value of this card is its limited availability. The Precious Collector Box: Sword & Shield was only available to those who pre-ordered it during one of the two pre-order windows: 10 to 25 May and 2 to 6 June 2022. On top of that, the card’s Full Art illustration was etched—something that makes it stand out.

The card’s illustration is in and of itself a tribute to some of the most iconic cards of Gen 8. In the background behind Pikachu are the following Pokémon: a Dynamax Shadow Rider Calyrex, a Gigantamax Rapid Strike Style Urshifu, a Crobat, an Inteleon, a Crowned Sword Zacian, and a Hisuian Zoroark. These Pokémon reference the following cards: Shadow Rider Calyrex VMAX from Jet-Black Spirit [S6K], Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX from Rapid Strike Master [S5R], Crobat V from Infinity Zone [S3], Inteleon and Zacian V from Sword [S1W], and Hisuian Zoroark V from Dark Phantasma [S10a].
