Nike SB P-Rod 1 OG “White/Black” (2025) [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]
Taking cues from its original blueprint—albeit with a few contemporary updates.
[Update 13 Dec 2024] Nike just had their Spring 2025 SNKRS Showcase, where the Nike SB P-Rod 1 OG “White/Black” was highlighted. Check out some of the screenshots in the gallery above, offering more angular looks of next year’s iteration of the P-Rod 1.
Nike SB wasn’t always the indomitable force in skateboarding that it is now. Even a behemoth like the Swoosh has struggled as they tried to penetrate the skateboarding market. Many scoffed at the idea of a capitalist figure as big as Nike entering their subculture.
Nonetheless, with figureheads like Paul Rodriguez lending their name, Nike eventually earned the grassroots credibility they needed, first through the original Nike SB P-Rod 1.
The legendary pair was first reintroduced in 2015, with a seconding coming a decade later, as ascertained by its namesake teasing a new image of the 2025 retro.
About the Nike SB P-Rod 1 OG “White/Black”
This sophomore homecoming pays homage to its original design, featuring a classic white and black colorway. However, subtle updates have been made its make. Metallic silver accents on the branding and top eyelet are retrofitted alongside a slimmer profile and clear rubber outsole, enhancing the shoe’s contemporary appeal.
